Attractive Antique Black Painted Metal Chest Storage Shipping Trunk Toy Box

A lovely antique black painted metal shipping trunk. We date this trunk to the early 20th century.

The trunk comprises a large rear hinged lidded box.

It has been black painted and has the letters ‘G.C.M.’ painted on it.

There are a few nice old shipping labels attached to the trunk.

The trunk has a height of 12.5″ (33cm), a width of 35″ (89cm) and a depth of 18.5″ (47cm).

This lovely trunk remains in a solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is an amount of wear to the painted edges and inside the trunk from past use. There are some indentations to some of the corner edges.

This remains a very stylish and functional trunk which would function well as a toy storage box, coffee table or a linen chest etc. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
