Lovely Small Antique Oak Tambour Bureau Bookcase, Neatly Sized

A lovely bureau. We date this bureau to the early 20th century.

The bureau comes in one main section and sits on its shapely side panels.

The tambour top is fitted with a lock (key supplied) and opens to reveal the fitted interior, which consists of various pigeon holes. There is a full width drawer fitted with wooden handles under the writing area.

The lower section is a recessed bookcase with one full width fitted shelf.

The bureau has a height of 40″ (102cm), a width of 30″ (77cm) and a depth of 18″ (45cm). The height of the underside of the kneehole is 24” (61 cm).

This lovely bureau remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. There is some minor wear and indents to some edges, primarily to the base. There are some marks inside the bureau from past use.

This remains a simple yet stylish and elegant bureau. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
