Attractive Mid Century Portwood Teak Extending Dining Table & Four Chairs

A lovely extending dining table and chair set from the Portwood furniture range. We date this table and chair set to the 1960/70s.

The table is rectangular with slightly tapered ends, the table leaves are able to be pulled apart to allow the internal extending leaf to be folded out.

The table has a height of 28″ (71cm), a length of 54 (137cm), a depth of 34.5″ (88cm). When opened the length increases to 72″ (183cm).

The chairs have sleigh legs and angled padded seat pads in a cream woven checked fabric with the backrest being curved for comfort.

The chairs are 29″ (74cm) high with a backrest height of 13″ (33cm), a seat height of 17.5″ (45cm), a seat width of 17″ (43cm) and a seat depth of 16″ (41cm).

This lovely teak dining table and chair set remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The table is a little stiff to open and the extending leaf is a deeper colour through less use over the years. There is some minor wear and marks to the seat pads from past use and the table surface has a few minor usage marks.

This remains a very stylish and elegant teak dining table and chair set. They will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
