An attractive pair of antique carved walnut tub chairs. We date these chairs to the late 19th century.
The chairs sit on downward tapered turned legs at the front and backward curved oblong section at the rear, all above ceramic castors.
The backrests of the chairs have been nicely carved and feature a tub frame shape.
The chairs have been upholstered in a torquoise velour striped material with braid detail.
The chairs have a height of 30″ (76cm) with a backrest height of 16″ (41cm), a seat height of 14.5″ (37cm), a seat width of 19″ (49cm) and a seat depth of 21″ (54cm).
This attractive pair of antique chairs remain in good solid condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage. There is a little bit of wear to the finish from past use on some of the edges and the material has a few minor usage marks. One of the ceramic castor wheels is black as opposed to the others being brown.
This remains a very stylish and elegant pair of chairs. They are very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
