A lovely Victorian cast iron bed table. The “Adapta” by J. Foot & Sons, London. We date this table to the later part of the 19th century.
The table features a large tray top that can be adjusted to rotate towards the user and well as having a height adjustment, there is a further small swivel tray above main surface.
The main surface has a cream leather surface with stud detail around the edges. The small swivel tray is painted wood.
The cast iron base is very ornate and has lovely cast feet.
Overall including the small tray the table has a height of 38.5″ (98cm) with a width of 34″ (88cm) and a depth of 19″ (48cm).
This lovely Victorian table remains in very good solid condition with minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The top surface leather has a number of stains and marks from past use. The swivel tray has an amount of wear to the painted surface.
This remains a very stylish and elegant antique Victorian table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
