A lovely birds eye maple fitted wardrobe. We date this wardrobe to the 1940/50s.
The wardrobe sits on four small cabriole legs.
The front of the wardrobe is of double panel design, with each panel being a side hinged door. The doors have been been veneered with well matched finely figured birds eye maple and are fitted with decorative cast brass stand out handles. The doors are fitted with working locks (key supplied).
The interior of the right hand side of the wardrobe is fitted with various labelled drawers and shelves, the left hand side is fitted with a hanging rail to the top and shoe rails to the bottom.
The wardrobe has an overall height of 76″ (193cm), a width of 38″ (97cm) and a depth of 21.5″ (55cm).
This lovely birds eye maple wardrobe remains in very good solid condition with only very minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage, including a few very minor marks and light scratches to the finish. There is a bit of wear to the feet and to some of the edges.
This remains a very stylish and elegant wardrobe which will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
