The chair sits on two turned legs at the front and two oblong section legs at the rear, all above their original ceramic castors.

The armrests are raised up on turned supports. The arm rests continue back to meet the backrest.

The seat base has been well padded and sprung.

The chair is very comfortable to sit on, with the backrest being shaped to provide good support for the lower back.

The chair has an overall height of 37″ (94cm), an overall width of 26″ (66cm), an overall depth of 35″ (89cm), a backrest height of 23″ (59cm), a seat height of 14″ (36cm), a seat width of 19″ (48cm) and a seat depth of 23″ (59cm).

The chair is upholstered in a green foliate patterned velour material. The material has a few marks from past use and the mahogany frame has a few minor indentations from past use. The bottom of the chair has been lined in a board, probably due to the webbing coming loose over time.

This remains a very stylish and elegant Victorian armchair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
