We date this trunk to the mid 20th century.

The trunk comprises of a large rear hinged lidded box.

The trunk has been constructed from a bamboo frame with basket weave.

There is a handle to each side and the trunk has been lined with a grey painted jute covering.

There is writing to the trunk for ‘DR. J.M. DONALD, 23 ANCRUM RD, DUNDEE’.

The trunk has a height of 14″ (36cm), a width of 36″ (92cm) and a depth of 20.5″ (52cm).

This lovely trunk remains in a solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The top latch hooks are missing.

This remains a very stylish and functional trunk which would function well as coffee table etc. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
