An attractive Victorian armchair. We date this chair to the late 19th century.
The chair sits on two turned legs at the front and two oblong section legs at the rear all above ceramic castors.
The backrest frame has attractive turned supports and carvings.
The chair has been upholstered in a torquoise striped velour material with braid detail.
The chair has an overall height of 38″ (97cm), an overall width of 25″ (64cm), an overall depth of 23″ (58cm), a backrest height of 25″ (64cm), a seat height of 14″ (36cm), a seat width of 25″ (64cm) and a seat depth of 20″ (51cm).
The chair remains in a very good usable condition with only very minor surface marks commensurate with age and usage, including some minor indentations and wear to the finish on the frame.
This remains a very stylish and elegant Victorian armchair. It is very comfortable and supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
