A lovely industrial Nestler drawing table. We date this table to the mid 20th century.
Although the counterweight and top arm are removable, please be aware of the sizes regarding access, around corners etc.
The main table surface is height and rake adjustable and there is a bentwood pen lipped tray to the base.
The base is cast iron and very substantial. There are two pedals at the bottom, the left one to operate the moving and the right one to act as a brake.
The mechanicals of the table work very well and the arm has a wonderfully clean sweeping motion.
The main writing surface has a height of 40″ (101cm) and a width of 66″ (153cm). At full height the table and arm has an overall height of 95″ (241cm) and the depth of the cast iron base is 26″ (66cm).
This lovely vintage drawing table remains in a good solid condition. There are a few small chips to the paint and some wear marks to some of the edges. The writing surface has a little bit of wear and has two cut scores lines to the writing surface from past use. There is a little split to the rear of the pen tray where it joins the writing board.
This remains a very stylish writing table. It will continue to provide good service for many years to come.
