Pair Of Vintage Upholstered Armchairs For Reupholstery

An attractive pair of armchairs for reupholstery. We date these armchairs to the first half of the
20th century.

The chairs sit on later added castors and are upholstered in a green fabric. The chairs have a
well padded backrest with padded scroll arms and seat.

These are surprisingly heavy chairs that have been well made.

The chairs have a height of 33″ (84cm), an overall width of 37″ (94cm), an overall depth of 35.5″
(90cm), a backrest height of 21″ (54cm), a seat height of 16″ (41cm), a seat width of 21″ (54cm)
(between the armrests) and a seat depth of 24″ (61cm).

This attractive pair of chairs remains in a very good solid condition with only surface markings
commensurate with age and usage, including some marks and wear to the fabric. The fringing is
loose in some places and missing on one chair.

There are some visible staples on the rear of the chairs.

This remains a very stylish and elegant pair of armchairs which are comfortable to sit on. They
will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come. Although they are perfectly
usable as is, they would provide an ideal reupholstery/restoration project for someone with the
requisite skills.
