Vintage Upholstered Sofa Settee For Reupholstery

An attractive Sofa for reupholstery. We date this sofa to the first half of the 20th century.

The sofa sits on later added castors and is upholstered in a green fabric. The sofa has a well
padded backrest with padded scroll arms and seat.

This is a surprisingly heavy sofa that has been well made.

The sofa has a height of 31.5″ (80cm), an overall width of 60.5″ (154cm), an overall depth of
34.5″ (98cm), a backrest height of 17″ (44cm), a seat height of 16″ (41cm), a seat width of 46″
(117cm) (between the armrests) and a seat depth of 23″ (59cm).

This attractive sofa remains in a very good solid condition with only surface markings
commensurate with age and usage, including some marks and wear to the fabric. The fabric
has a tear on the armrest and the fringing is loose in some places.

This remains a very stylish and elegant sofa which is comfortable to sit on. It will continue to
provide rest and relaxation for many years to come. Although it is perfectly usable as is, it would
provide an ideal reupholstery/restoration project for someone with the requisite skills.
