The side legs continue up to form the arm rest side supports. They are joined at the top by a cross rail.
The backrests are comprised of bergere caning outside shaped walnut veneered splats.
The seat is provided with a leather drop in seat pad.
The sofa has a height of 34″ (86cm), an overall width of 43″ (109cm), an overall depth of 28″ (71cm), a backrest height of 19″ (48cm), a seat height of 17″ (43cm), a seat width of 38″ (97cm) and a seat depth of 23″ (59cm).
This attractive sofa remains in a good solid condition with only minor markings and indentations commensurate with age and usage. The caning remains in good condition with a couple of tiny breaks and minor spots of wear. There is a bit of wear around the feet from past use and some minor indentations around the frame. The leather is showing a bit of wear with some staining, wear and small holes.
This remains a very stylish and elegant sofa which is very comfortable and supportive to sit on. It will continue to provide rest and relaxation for many years to come.
